This beautiful Cliff side Capri, Italy Coastal Seascape oil on canvas measures 12” x 16”and gallery framed with wood and dark ocher velvet to 15.0 x 19.0 with a 1.25 inch velvet border. There are the Faraglioni or stacks, coastal and oceanic rock formations reflected in the sun on the blue sea, and the rose-pink sky at the hour of the day when dawn is turning into a sunny day with a moored boat and man fishing in the background engulfed in rising sun . The brushstrokes of color seem quite confident in this amazing cliff side painting, signed on the lower left “Federico Salvatore”. Federico was just seven years old when he started painted scenes around Capri and since then painting has been his daily companion throughout his life. If you walk up towards Villa San Michele, in Anacapri, you’ll come across his shop among the many selling souvenirs of all kinds.
