Description: ORIGINAL NUMBERED PHILIPPINE INSURRECTION CAMPAIGN MEDAL NO. 7573, 1899 This listing is for an original numbered, 1899 Philippine Insurrection Campaign Medal . The medal No. 7573 belonged to James Lynch, Pvt. K/16th Infantry. The 16th participated in the capture of San Juan hill as part of the First Brigade, First division of V Corps, in the brigade commanded by Brigadier General Hamilton S. Hawkins. The 16th later fought in the Philippine-American War. The medal is in very good condition. The ribbon was found in the same box as the medal, so I included it.
