Description: Just out of a local smoke free house is this interesting original illustration by the famous illustrator, cartoonist,comics artist, sculptor, and medal designer Ronald William Fordham Seale (1920-2011). He was active in New York and was very prolific producing many drawings and cartoons for Life, Holiday, Punch, The New Yorker, The Sunday Express, and the News Chronicle. He also did illustrations for books and many other publications. See wikipedia for a more comprehensive biography. This illustration or cartoon depicts children playing under what looks to be a shower tower. It is signed in the lower right. With the frame it measures about 18 1/4 inches high and about 15 1/2 inches wide. The matted window measures about 11 7/8 inches high and about 9 3/4 inches wide. It is in very good condition.
