Description: 800296TB25PORT3 Original Hand Colored Lithograph by England's most famous bird artist. He is considered by some to be the English Audubon. It is in very good original condition, with no marks or creases. There is one 1" tear in the right hand side margin and slight muting of the colors.(see photos). The photos are part of the description. "Phalaropus Fulicarius". From "Birds Of Great Britain" Published London 1862-1873, ( it took 11 years to complete the set) in which there were 367 lithographs. There were 397 original subscribers who paid Gould in advance to own a copy of the complete work. A total of 500 copies were produced. Paper size; 15" x 22".
