Description: This is an original, unique collage and not a print. To make this collage I used only original engravings cut from battered, damaged and unloved 19th century books and magazines, so it’s approximately 120 to 140 years old, but with a modern twist. It's made using a traditional cut and paste method, and to give the collage support, it's attached to an A4 sized card. It's a standard size, so it's very easy to find a frame that you like On the back it's signed and titled and also comes with a certificate of authenticity. I don't use computers or photocopies to make any of my collages, I just use original 19th century engravings, scissors and occasionally scalpels! In this collage I've been influenced by the collages of Max Ernst, and I've used the same techniques that Ernst used when creating "Une Semaine De Bonté.” Max Ernst's collages sell for upwards of £20,000 each, so my collage might be a more economical choice!
