Description: Original Antique Portrait Pastel c. 1800's Woman 19th Century Offered is a lovely pastel of a woman from the 1800's. It features a classic hairstyle and clothing from that period.Black clothing with a white collar adorned with a cameo and gold necklace. The pastel portrait has the appearance of a mat and I believe it is all one piece.It is in as found condition and I have not attempted to remove the pastel from the frame so I am unaware of any identifying markings, if any. Wood frame with minor gesso detailing/finishing on front edging. Frame measues 7.25 by 9.25 inches.The frame is in fair to good conditon. There are some bumps and chips to the gesso along the edge as you can see in the photos.This could be improved by using a burnished gold paint or left as is. Displays well and is nice in a grouping.
