Description: For sale is an Original Aimpoint 5000 XD from the 1990s. The most common Red Dot Sight in 1990s US special operations and Operation Gothic Serpent in 1993 Mogadishu was the aimpoint 5000, which are quite rare now. This is the XD model which share the form and shape from the 5000 but came with a brighter diode and better battery life. Its the best combo with both looks and performance for a retro AR build thats you also want to use. This is the original 3 MoA model with an bright and crisp red dot. It is mounted with two 30 mm scope rings and will fit on any weaver/picatinny rail. The scope is tested and fully working. Condition is overall good, however the the front ring has left indentation marks in the tube. See pictures. Lenses are clear and in very good condition. It is normally powered by the CR1/3N and DL1/3N batteries. However, in a pinch, you can use two common 357/303, or LR44 "button cell" batteries instead.
