Lot Consists of a Difficult to Find, Original, 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition / St. Louis World's Fair - Imperial Commissioner General - German Pavilion - Invitation / Pass. Pass reads: "Imperial German Commissioner General" - "Valid For One Visit To the German Pavilion" - "Deliver At Entrance" - "Visiting Hours: 10 to 12 and 2 to 5 o'clock" The Louisiana Purchase Exposition, also known as the St. Louis World's Fair, was an international exposition held in St. Louis, Missouri, from April 30 to December 1, 1904. More than 60 countries and 43 of the then 45 U.S. States had exhibition spaces at the fair, which was attended by nearly 19.7 million people. The Yellow color, cardstock pass with black text and rounded corners is approx. 2-1/2" high x 4-1/8" wide and comes as pictured with only light signs of handling on edges and corners, including a couple of light smudges. There is what appears to be, some white paper residue on the lower left corner of the reverse side of the card. We do not attempt to clean items, for fear of damage. That is left up to new owner's to decide to do..... or not.....Card was album stored for many years. Nice piece of 1904 St. Louis World's Fair memorabilia.
