Description: Up for sale is one lot of 2, vintage, Orange County International Raceway (OCIR) small magnets featuring the track logo. These magnets were sold at the track back in the 1970s and 80s and are in new never used condition. The magnets measure approximately 2" tall by 1.75" wide. Some of the magnets have a smaller white boarder around the outside edge (see photos). All of these magnets came from a sealed package of 20 that was just opened for the first time. Any item from OCIR is very rare and hard to find these days. OCIR was a combined 1/4 mile dragstrip, 2-mile road course and a motocross track, located in Irvine, California and was in operation from August 5, 1967, until it closed on October 30, 1983 due to the building of a new outdoor mall. The mall was not built for another decade and a half so the noise from the drag races is most likely what ended the track.
