Its never been activated and I can provide you with a Best Buy receipt if you wish with a 2024 date. You can try and use social engineering to get Apple to record the current purchase date. These were purchased from Best Buy 2 years ago. But there is no record of it with Apple. So if they buy your story, you get 1 year Warranty once you activate it. Many of my customers have been able to get Apple to add the warranty. I bought a lot of Macbooks 2 years and but then went through a divorce. During that time I was not allowed to run my business in order to settle finances. As a result, these Macbooks sat in my room for 2 years. I have since started to sell them. But a few of my buyers reported that when they opened the MacBook, the battery was not working. These are M1 chips there is no way to reset the SMC. For whatever reason the MacBook motherboard stops recognizing the battery after a long time. So I decided to open all of them and sort them. Most are still working just fine but the ones with "dead" batteries I will try and fix and sell later. These are all working correctly.
