Description: Payment | Shipping OOAK Vintage 1920s TYNIETOY FARM DOLLHOUSE Printing Block Photo FROM MUSEUM For sale is this incredibly rare item. This is a copper photo negative printing block made in the 1920s by the Tynietoy dollhouse company of Rhode Island. This came from the Angel's Attic Dollhouse Museum in Santa Monica, California. This block was used by the company for printing their catalogs. This is a likely early piece of the Tynietoy company, and is for what appears to be farm dollhouse and accessories. This is an amazing piece of dollhouse history! This is part of a series of printing plates and production stamps I have from the Tynietoy company. It measures 2" x 4.25" and is mounted onto a wooden block. Provenance & History: Tynietoy was founded by two women in the early 1920s and continued until about 1952. When the owners died in 1940 and 1947 some stock was sold until 1952 when Tynietoy closed its doors. The unsold items, in varying states of production from finished to unfinished were put away in storage. These were then sold at auction in the 1980s, and were purchased by the owners of a dollhouse museum in California where they remained in boxes until the owners passed and the pieces were put up for sale.
