My FoodSaver stopped working after a year, I was a bit disappointed about the FoodSavers performance. I was thinking of just buying another FoodSaver until I saw some of the features of the Presrv Vacuum Sealer. Things I like about the Presrv: Can seal damp meat. I had to flash freeze meat before sealing with the FoodSaver. Provides a double seal. The power cord provides enough length to comfortably vacuum seal, my FoodSaver power cord was ridiculously short. The suction power for my Presrv is honestly more powerful than my old FoodSaver that cost 3x as much. The cutter works great. My FoodSaver did not have a cutter I really like the one button hands free sealing and all of the other options of sealing such as wet and dry. My Food Saver rolls work with the Presrv I have used the Presrv Vacuum Sealer for about 3 weeks so far, but the performance on ground beef, steak, chicken, fish and vegetables has been outstanding. An easy 5 star rating from me. We buy meat in bulk whenever possible so being able to freeze things long term without freezer burn is a must so we gave the Presrv sealer a try and we are very happy with it so far. It has worked with no issues on both dry and wet items and this sealer has a larger than usual sealing bar which is 8mm. First a little TLDR: Pros: Definitely a wider sealing area than we have been used to. Both dry and wet items can be sealed with no issues. Easy one touch operation. Powerful suction with no leftover air in the bag Cons: None so far IN THE BOX/ASSEMBLY – You get the unit itself, a power cord, manual, air hose (for canister/containers), and seven starter vacuum bags. There is pretty much zero assembly, just removal of the protective sheet over the stainless steel and you’re ready to start sealing. USE – Operation is simplistic, the tray has nice bag alignment clamps that easily allow you to insert your bag into the machine. Once you have the bag secured in there, make sure to press down firmly on the lid until you hear a click. Then choose whether you want to use the dry or moist function (dry is blue light and moist is red light). So far everything we have sealed, including a bag of chicken with teriyaki marinade sealed perfectly! Also tried the vacuum hose and it worked out great on some containers. FINAL THOUGHTS – The fit finish and build quality of the vacuum sealer is great and the wider than usual sealing bar definitely makes a difference on wet foods! I would recommend purchasing this vacuum sealer! Vacuum sealers really have 1 job: to seal effectively and with ease. This knocks it out of the park. The slim and sleek design saves a ton of counter space and is absolutely perfect for small kitchens and countertops. I love it so much I bought another one for my son! Presrv made the perfect unit. I bought the presrv after using several other cheaper models. I needed something that was higher quality at an affordable price and landed on the presrv. Some highlights I love about it: Very good suction power- it does an excellent job of getting all of the air out of the bag because of the 130w motor Compact, sleek design- I don't have to worry about trying to find a bunch of storage or counter space when using the product Removable drip tray- the presrv comes with an amazing removable drip tray that is very easy to clean. Basically, when you vacuum seal wet products, such as meat, the vacuum sealer will also suck some liquid from the steak and out of the bag. What is nice about the Presrv is that it has a removable tray that catches all of the liquid. This makes cleaning 10x easier Bag cutter- the presrv comes with a bag cutter as well. This is helpful because I use rolls, so whenever I want to use it I can easily cut the bags to a specific size Attachable hose- the presrv also comes with an attachable hose which is great for vacuum sealing canisters and mason jars. The suction for the hose is very powerful as well. Overall a fantastic product!
