"2160 [new number] 60 [old number] One syllable primer"--McLoughlin Bros.' order list, 1919, p. 8. This title was listed as no. 60 only in the 1918 order list; it was listed at the new no. in the 1919 and 1920 order lists. In 1920, McLoughlin Bros. was sold to Milton Bradley, and the company was moved to Springfield, Mass. Last page blank. In printed boards with cloth spine. Pictorial design on upper cover chromolithographed. Textual illustrations produced by a relief process. Local Notes:American Antiquarian Society copy lacks p. [1-2], including title page--pagination assumed from a McLoughlin issue of this title dated 1882. Cover shows three girls sitting on a bench. Flexible hardcover. Inscription inside - otherwise no marks or tears. Pages browned from age. Sewn-in binding is slightly loose at top. Cover has edge wear and some soiling, with boards showing at corners somewhat.See photos for more information.
