Description: This handmade urn is constructed of locally sourced, kiln dried walnut. The cylinder jugs are OEM “shovelhead” takeoffs that have been saved from the junkyard. All hardware is hand polished 316 stainless. Cylinder jugs were sandblasted down to “white scale” before being acid primed, epoxy primed, and then finish coated. All of the cooling fins have been hand filed and sanded down to a nice, squared off fin edge. These are OEM take offs and there are a few minor chips in a few of the fins that have been contoured and smoothed out to soften the break. My father was a lifelong “shovelhead” owner/rider. When he passed away last year I made the first urn out of his old factory jugs after failing to find anything of suitable quality and design for his final resting place. Friends and family all suggested I make a few more as there is nothing close to it on the market, not even Etsy. Insured shipping included to the lower 48.
