Description: This quadrature coupler, made by Omni-Spectra division of M/A-COM is a type 2035-4032-00, SMA (f) unit marked 9.5-10.5 GHz. I know it is hard to make a narrow band coupler like this in stripline at 10 GHz, so I swept it and found it had good performance over the 8-12 GHz region. My plot shows 2.8 dB loss on thru and 3.2 dB loss on the coupled, so the mean loss is 3 dB + .2 dB. These are new parts and are useful for doing a variety of microwave tasks like using a pair for amplifier power combining, making CP in a dual linear antenna, building phase shifters or VVA's , etc. Good part for messing around & experimenting, maybe try some circular polarization receive antennas, etc. Neat part!
