Description: Nice early box for a S&W double action 38 pistol with a Nickel finish and 5” barrel. No indication of exact model or year of manufacture. Box to me appears to be brown cloth tape color and has some pencil writing inside which can be removed with a gum eraser(new owner), fading and rubs and scratches over the entire surface. Photos will show a blown out corner. The box is very solid and the hinged top has no damage. The interior is dirty. The instruction panel is dirty but easy to read. It measures 10 1/4” x 3 3/4” x 1 1/2”. Photos should reveal overall condition, ask any questions.
