DESCRIPTION: This is a nice old vintage painting in the style of the frieze paintings of Pompeii, Italy (see photos). The painting depicts winged cherub angels riding in a chariot puled by goats. The painting is signed by the artist: Nino Gallo and it is dated for 1956 (see photos). The painting is from Italy and it is Italian in origin. The painting is painted on paper. The painting is framed in a wood picture frame mounted under glass in the photos (the glass had a crack so I have removed the glass and it is not included). The painting framed in total measures about 7.5 inches high and it is about 10.75 inches wide. The painting portion without the picture frame measures about 3.25 inches high and it is about 6.5 inches wide. The picture frame has some wear. The painting has minimal wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item).
