Description: Old Paris Hand Painted Fruit Cornucopia Gold Griffins Figural Head Yellow Teapot Antique Old Paris / Vieux Paris French empire porcelain teapot with gold spout with figural head. Decorated with gold rectangles with gold griffins alternating with black rectangles with hand painted fruit in cornucopias over a yellow background. With heavy gold bands around the top and bottom. Gold gilding to the lid finial and handle. Unmarked. Circa 1820-1830. Has some wear to the gilding and a repair to the end of the spout, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 7 inches wide from spout to handle x 7 1/2 inches tall to the top of the handle.
