Description: Old Paris Hand Painted Floral Blue & Gold Breakfast Cup & Saucer C. 1830-1840s Antique French Old Paris / Vieux Paris oversized breakfast cup and saucer. Decorated with gold floral and scrollwork designs on the outside of the cup. With hand painted flowers on the inside of the cup and the saucer with gold flowers and scrollwork over a blue and white background. Gold gilding along the edge. Unmarked. Circa 1830 to 1840s. Has some wear to the gilding, two over painted repairs to the lip of the cup, and a small discolored tight crack extending off the lip of the cup. The saucer has some staining to the bottom. Otherwise good condition with no additional chips, cracks or repairs. The cup measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide including the handle x 3 1/4 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 6 5/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
