This piece may have been for checking exhaust temperature or kiln temperatures. This USA made pyrometer appears to be in wonderful condition. However, there is a screw missing on the back of the meter. It comes in the original case which measures about 16 1/4" x 8 1/2' x 3 1/4". It has damage, as shown.
