Description: Looking for an authentic milk glass globe to go on your antique sconce, pendant or other lighting? Here is a hard-to-find heavy, hand-blown glass globe. Weighs a hefty 1 pound 2 ounces—twice as much as many mass-produced globes. The globe is shown on a very old bronze griffin/dragon lamp—lamp is not for sale and isn't part of the offering here. The griffin lamp is for illustrative purposes only. This globe was blown by mouth, by hand—there are no seams, it wasn't mass produced in a mould like almost all other globes. The glass was obviously custom blown as it has a bit of texture and swirls that continue around the globe. The swirls are difficult to see in the photos, but if you look closely you can see them. The globe does a great job of diffusing light. The glass is thicker that most other globes and emits a pleasant glow. 5.5" diameter and about 3 1/8" fitter rim—fits 3.25-inch fitters. There is a chip on the fitter rim as show in the photo. This is hidden when the globe is in place and has been repaired as shown in the last photo. We only have one of these and when it is gone that's it.
