This is an old Ethiopian folding handwritten Scroll, consists of two panels laced together with four pictures in colour. Ethiopian Orthodox Christians believe in the healing and protective power of the gospels. The scroll was made of animal skin normally of goat skin and contains text from Ethiopian Christian manuscript. The writing on the scroll is in hand made black and red paint and is written in Ge’eze language. (Ge’ez is the official language of Ethiopian Orthodox churches).
