He went on study trips to England, Germany, Sweden and Norway. His favorite scenes include portraits and landscapes, many of which include domestic animals. PAINTING: Oil on canvas. The painting is an endearing portrait of a farmer milking his cow, while chickens run around in the courtyard. I’ll date it to somewhere between 1950-1970.
