Description: You are looking at a hard to find odd color smooth lip. shoulder seal, Mason's 4 Patent Nov. 30th 1858 . canning jar. Dot after 1858. I could not find this jar in an older red book. The stain in the back round is not in the jar. You can see how it moved with the pictures & also you can see by the clear pictures. This jar fits the hand. What I mean by that is, the side was moved in when it was grabbed from the mold. It must have still been worm or an error jar. I see no damage. I tried to take many pictures of it for you to see. Heavy solid jar. Could use a minor cleaning. I tried to take as many pictures a I could for you to see & decide. If you are afraid you think it is a crack. Please do not bid.
