Description: Beautiful Early Post Card This postcard is unused. It was founded on December 3, 1833, as Oberlin Collegiate Institute by Rev. John Jay Shipherd and Philo Penfield Stewart. Oberlin was the first college in America to adopt a policy to admit black students (1835) and the first to grant bachelors degrees to women (1841) in a coeducational program. The Conservatory of Music was established in 1865 and is the oldest continuously operating conservatory in the United States. It is in very good condition with no bends, folds or tears.
