Description: Book is still intact with all original pages but the binding is starting to compromise in places (see pics). One map in the preliminary page is still intact at the top of the page but loose in the middle and bottom (see pic)—just hanging on—and sticks out of the text block when closed. There is some writing on inside cover boards and end sheets—one of which is a gift inscription from 1911. There is also one page in the text that a phrase has been circled with pen (see pics). The edges of the cloth cover material is worn down to inside the board in some places, ie top and bottom corners and top and bottom of spine (see pics). This copy is still very much readable. While this book is worn and in fair/ acceptable condition, it is still a beautiful book that would look well on any bookshelf. This antique book, "Notes on the New Testament Vol. 1 Matt-Mark" by Albert Barnes, published by Blackie & Son in London, UK circa 1890, is a valuable addition to any collection. With a cloth binding, the book is in acceptable condition and is an original edition. The author provides scholarly commentary on the New Testament, specifically on Matthew and Mark’s writings. The book has not been modified and is an authentic piece of history. Care will be taken in the head link, packaging, and shipping of this antique text.
