Description: This pair of Mullard EL37 tubes test identically at 56/32 and 56/32 on my TV-7D tester (calibrated 1/27/24). Brand new tubes should test 49/32 or higher. Tested for shorts, emission, gas and noise. Both tubes are smoked. The smoke on one tube is more saturated than the other. One has two pan getters and the other has two O getters. These are British made with date codes B7A & B7J, or January and October of 1957. The EL37 tube is considered to be equivalent to a KT66. Mullard actually branded these as EL37 and EL37/KT66. The test results above are testing as a KT-66. When tested as a 6L6 they test at 48/25 where NOS is generally 40+/25. They’re not the same as a 6L6GC but are often a safe substitute and give a unique flavor to the sound. They’re new old stock and come in their original boxes. One box is a bit chewed up on one side. They’re in remarkable shape for being 67+ years old. See the pictures for condition and ask questions. I do not accept returns unless the items are not as described. I’m in the process of listing thousands of tubes. If you want something in particular message me to see if I have it. Thanks!
