Description: Here we have the first Bahne kicktail design in NOS condition. 1978, my guess. Straight from Encinitas, Ca. where Bill and Bob Bahne manufactured these. Known for one of the first resin boards used for slalom competition in 1975 and 1976, the Bahnes built this board as an answer to all of the empty pools we had during the California drought in 1977-1978. Of course, skateparks were just coming online at the same time. 7.5" x 27" approximately. Original 44 year old grip tape in great condition. No trucks ever mounted. Please note the original $12 price! About me: I grew up skating the pools, ramps and schools all over Santa Monica in the 1970's (1972-1980). The Dogtown crew was a major influence, and I was fortunate to see all of them in action throughout my teenage years. I have sought out skateboards for my collection that had the most impact on me.
