Description: For the 1957 model year, L-O-F (Libbey-Owens-Ford, GM's glass supplier), General Motors and all five GM Car Divisions began a cooperative advertising and merchandising program to promote the inclusion of Safe-T-Plate glass in every car window, not just the windshield. This program resulted in jointly sponsored TV shows with commercials featuring the 1957 GM cars and the new all around glass. Showroom posters, like this NOS 23 x 50" example, were sent to all Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick and Cadillac dealers to announce the upcoming shows. THIS POSTER features the CBS PERRY MASON TV series and COLLEGE FOOTBALL Saturday games on NBC. It's properly folded as sent to a Chevy dealer and printed on heavyweight poster paper. To tie in with the College Football games, a 5.5 x 8" 36 page football guide and schedule booklet was produced for each Division. The Chevy version is included with the poster. ALSO INCLUDED is a Chevrolet-produced stiff 4 page Football Schedule 3x7" pocket folder. CONDITION of the poster and the booklets is NOS and complete with no marks, tears or fading. The poster was never put up but shows some minor handling from storage when folded. Buyer pays USPS Ground Advantage shipping cost in the USA based on your Zip Code.
