Description: Don't miss out on this super piece of carnival glass! This is an exceptional piece of glass made by Northwood from 1912 to the early 20's. It measures 6" high and about 6.5" across the ruffled top of the compote. The usual couple of flow lines are present on the exterior and can be seen under the iridized coating. There are a few air bubbles within the glass that are visible when held up to the light, also usual to glass of this era. Now to color, which I personally consider to be electric blue based on pictures from Warman's book and another current listing on eBay. The distinction between blue and what is electric in appearance is in the eye of the beholder! On the Doty website, he is reluctant to distinguish the difference as am I. But this piece exhibits much of what he lists as requirements to meet the criteria. I am not a professional photographer and the photos were taken with a digital camera, with and without flash. No special lighting or photo enhancement was used, just a white background. Reasonable offers will be considered and ridiculous ones will receive none!
