Neil used red cedar. He pays so much attention to details, the painting is close to perfect - vibrant colors. Neil puts a lot of love and thoughts into his designs and it shows. SUPERB craftsmanship. Measurements: 44" x 10" x 1" Wall art carving - carved in front, signed at the back, made and prepared for wall hanging. The artist: Neil Baker is a band member of the Squamish First Nation Reserve in British Columbia. He is from the Coast Salish blood line. Neil is a self taught carver and artist. Neil has learned a great deal about his culture by listening to his elders, then applying that knowledge to the carvings he creates. Neil's signature carving is the famous "School of Salmon".
