It was commissioned at the same time as a set of larger etchings of French Chateaux by Wine Arts in 1989 (which we also have for sale) but was never editioned. A small quantity of them were printed. Provenance: acquired from the Wine Arts publishers directly. A very affordable way to own an original Norman Ackroyd etching whose works are always in high demand. Chateau Palmer, is a winery in the Margaux appellation d’origine controllee of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here, was classified as one of fourteen Troisiemes Crus in the historic Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855 Signed in pencil lower rightMeasurements: image size 15 x 12cm Shipping flat. Recognised as one of Britain’s finest printmakers and master of the etching process, Norman Ackroyd studied at Leeds College of Art followed by the Royal College of Art under Julian Trevelyan.
