Description: Vintage Noritake "MYSTERY 175" SALAD PLATE, Porcelain, Gold Trim. Post-War Occupied Japan. Dimensions: 7 5/8" Diameter x 3/4" High. After World War II and during the Korean War, Noritake mass produced a wide variety of "mystery" china patterns specifically to sell to U.S. servicemen at military PX stores. Because they were produced so quickly, many patterns didn’t have names.Excellent Mint or Near-Mint condition - NO chips, cracks, crazing, scuffs, repairs, or dust. These plates came from a high-end estate sale in Eastern Washington, and appear to have been previously stored or displayed in an enclosed cabinet. Trivial or no utensil marks or small scuff mark from being stacked, not affecting anything. May have trivial, minor wear or manufactured thin spots on the gold metallic trim. Very slight natural manufacturing porcelain imperfections, if any. Photos are of one of the actual plates being offered. IMPORTANT: Due to the metallic trim, this Noritake fine porcelain china dinnerware is not microwave safe, and not oven safe. Additionally, you may not want to run them through the dishwasher, as the gold trim and decorations can fade or react to high heat. Hand-washing recommended. FREE & prompt USPS Ground Advantage shipping. USPS Priority Mail shipping available. No international shipping or freight forwarding.
