Description: and arch back Acoustic Electric Guitar by P”Mico awesome blues and slide guitar with Lafayette PickupsWow…Yes this guitar is about 90-94 years old from 1930’s here is a great find in excellent condition. The neck is pretty straight considering this is an antique possibly 94 years old! The original bridge sits a little high and a lower bridge might make this action perfect. The action is low by the bone nut (I think it is bone) and medium high at the end of the Fretboard. Which for slide guitar music would be a perfect setup . The added Lafayette 99-4583 dual Pickups with original vintage pots works perfect, strong volume you can push and sound great. I have seen this combination pickguard / pickups model selling for $250-$300 without the guitar. The tone of these pickups is strong clear and loud and the setup with pickups right on the body makes for a sweet electric acoustic sound. 3 screws and the pickup is off quicker than a prom dress! In one minute …. Volia you have a handsome acoustic guitar.Progressive Musical Instrument Corp. Their instruments were made by Kay, Harmony, or possibly Oscar Schmidt. Nobody seems 100% sure as all these manufacturers produced guitars with the “house brand” on it. Remember that in the 1930s there were a lot of "house" brand instruments - witness the Silvertone instruments sold by Sears but made by Kay.The previous owner thought this guitar was made by Harmony, and that's certainly possible. In fact, there is this exact model pickup is being sold online by someone from a Harmony Broadway guitar which this guitar strongly resembles. I looked inside very well and could not find any stamps to help me ID this one. Please note the handling fee is for shipping insurance only and local pickup is always welcome in NJ
