Description: Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell. Published by S.J. Reginald Saunders & Co. Ltd. in 1949. This is a stated “first Canadian edition.” DJ not clipped and priced at $3.00. The book itself is in good only condition for its age. Board and spine tips are bumped and rubbed with some fraying. Worst wear and fraying is at top of spine. Ffep has penciled notation. A dozen or so pages have dogeared creased corners at lower corners and/or short closed tears. Pages otherwise appear to be clean although there may be other small defects/small spots/stains here and there. Dust jacket is in fair condition for its age. Edges appear to have been trimmed by 1/4” or so. Has heavy wear including missing chips, tears, long closed tears, rubbing, sun darkening to spine, soiling, creasing, tape near front fold crease at lower corner on front of jacket, tape on verso of dust jacket at lower spine and front fold crease, soiling, etc. Please ask questions or for more pictures before bidding/buying so you can assess condition for yourself.
