Description: This camera was stored for many years with batteries installed. They leaked, of course. I was able to clean up most of the mess, but the camera does not turn on. The battery acid actually ate a small hole through the metal plate that covers the battery pack. There is also a patch of residue I could not remove. These areas are circled in red on the last photo. A camera repair person said the problem with the power is most likely not limited to the battery chamber itself, but they did not offer any further opinion.
