Description: Gift a Film Camera for Christmas! This 35mm SLR was one of the two Nikon Camera from 1977 and 1978 made in a smaller size, and this incorporated electronic light metering and shutter speed control. It has a metal shutter. That is good because they held up better than the older cloth shutters. This camera is aperture priority, meaning that you select the lens f-stop light opening, and then the camera measures the amount of light hitting the film. Then it selects a continuous shutter speed from 8 seconds up to 1/1000th of a second. The lens is a modern ai-s Sigma zoom 28-200mm aspherical "D", f3.8-5.6. This lens can also be used on Nikon D50,D70,D80, and full frame professional cameras. With its wide zoom range, you have everything from street photos, normal 50mm views, portraits, and telephoto shots at 4x magnification. It is not a macro ( closeup ) rather it goes to 5 feet. This camera uses regular LR-44 batteries. Even if the batteries are dead, you can still take pictures at 1/90th of a second. You can ask before the sale about other lenses, such as the older f1.4/50mm non-ai prime lens found of other Nikons. This can take maybe 30 different Nikon/Nikkor lenses, and those made by other companies. I will either find a manual for you, or at least get you to the online download, plus some starter pages.
