Description: Ok, these are brand new in the factory box Nikon BL-6 battery covers which fit the En-EL18, modified to fit the Nikon En-EL4 battery for the Nikon D3 series bodies. I, like you, wanted a spare battery endcap for my D3s, and was very unhappy with the scalper prices they sell for due to Nikon discontinuing the BL-4. I took a BL-6 from my D5 and modified it to fit the EN-EL4. Bonus is the modified BL-6 still works fine on the EN-EL18 so you can also use it with your D4, D5, D6 etc. The BL-6 in the photos is a used one off my D5, the one you will receive will be brand new. I will modify these as they are ordered. If there is no interest then I will just sell them as new spare BL-6 covers. I did several for friends and had a few new units left over. Considering new BL-6 covers cost over $20 alone, I'm not getting rich here, just trying to help out lovers of the D3 series of cameras. The battery fits nice and tight on the camera just like the BL-4, there is just a bit of extra plastic around the opening as the contours of the two different cameras are not the same. I don't think this modified cover is as water resistant as the BL-4 due to the fit, so don't expect to be shooting in the pouring rain with this and not expect some water to sneak into the battery compartment. Sorry, no I won't modify your cover for you, just look at a BL-6 and you will see what need to be done. In the photos of the two battery covers, the BL-4 is on the bottom, the BL-6 is on the top.
