Wright Glass Company of New Martinsville West Virginia. a teal blue dustpan which is a styled reproduction of the famous dustpan made by the Indiana Tumbler & Goblet Company of Greentown Indiana (The famous Greentown Glass Factory) For many years it was wondered who made the dustpan and much time has been spent by collectors when buying dustpans to make sure they did not get a reproduction. But the funny part is over the last 60 plus years the L.G. Wright dustpan has become a collectible item which is sought out by Wright collectors as well as Greentown collectors. There is no doubt this lovely teal blue dustpan is product of the L.G. Wright Company. One easy way to know the difference is the knob at the top of the dustpan is much larger on the Wright dustpan than on the Greentown piece. A second way to tell the difference is that the Wright dustpan at the end is smooth across and the Greentown piece is not. The way the Greentown pieces is they were made on a block of glass with 3 dustpans to the block and while cooling they were snapped off from the block leaving a rough edge to the dust pan. This dustpan is a very nice teal blue color and has no chips, flakes or cracks. A perfect piece to add to a Wright or Greentown collection.
