Description: This item is a 40" right-handed original hickory shafted wood. It is a Bull Dog style fairway wood. Marked H J King Tadmarton the crown. He was the pro there from 1923-32. Full brass sole plate. Head is in good vintage condition. Shows the expected play use and wear. Please look at the many zoom pictures to get a better idea of condition. The shaft is the original hickory. Feels like a very stiff flex. It is straight and I see no cracks. The grip is an old long leather wrap that is in good vintage condition. Unusual 25* loft and an A 8 swingweight. Great for display.If you are considering playing with this club, while I see no issues with this shaft (other than those mentioned above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. These old wooden shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee wooden shafts or heads against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old wooden shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old wooden shafted wood with a hard range ball.Shipping in the US is calculated and based on a 3-pound box.
