Description: Up for your consideration is a pair of brand new David Howell & Company Egyptian Cartouche Earrings with a hieroglyphic inscription for the goddess Ma'at (sometimes defined as Truth). The pierced earrings come in their original box with explanatory packaging materials (tags). The earrings are copyrighted 2007 for the Brooklyn Museum of Art. The earrings measure 2 1/4 inches tall, measure about 1/2 of an inch across, and weigh 2 1/4 ounces in the box. The earrings are marked on the back of the dangle, but it is not readily legible. The earrings are fastened to a card that reads: Design USA Made at the top end. Below the earrings, it says: EGYPTIAN CARTOUCHE EARRINGS - This is a hieroglyphic inscription for the Egyptian goddess Ma'at, sometimes defined as "Truth." She is personified by what the Egyptians believed to be the proper interaction of all parts of the universe, moral and divine, an order established by the solar creator.
