They've never been opened, thus why I kept the first 6 photos, so you could see what the knives look like out of a sealed package. Made in the US during the mid through late 1990's, this was Chicago Cutlery's premier knife line, using T5MoV forged steel throughout the entire length of the knife - including the bolster and tang, not just up to the bolster like other more popular brands (I'm looking at you Henckels and Wusthof!)The rosewood handles are laminated and resin impregnated to seal out moisture and provide a long lasting luster. The tolerances between tang, handle, rivets and bolster were extremely tight, making for a well balanced knife that provides top line performance and durability. Legacy Forged knives were only manufactured for a short time and was the most expensive line Chicago ever made.
