I personally do not detect any of that odor on him (if he should have even the slightest hint, it would have to be extremely light - but I personally detect no strange odors. Just a normal Barbie doll.) (Previously, I had bought a large amount of Jacobs from various collectors, displayed & brand new, as well as ones even still inside their original Mattel shipper boxes. They ALL had a strong plastic odor, I think primarily emanating from his body, that I was very sensitive to.) His stand waist holder won't go down any further, so Jacob always looks to be slightly "hovering in the air" on display stand.
