Description: New York, N.Y., Civil War token, 1863, 630-BZ 4b, brass, R-7 (Fuld 3rd.ed.). The obverse shows a building with "WARMKESSEL" across the front. The lettering/legend around the border begins at the top and continues to the bottom "ESTABLISHED A. D. 1850". The reverse shows an eagle in the center of two crossed branches in the center. At the top edge is "APOTH. WEIGHT", and at the bottom is "ONE DRAM", and the date 1863.Both sides are an aged, toned brass color. The obverse is darker overall than the reverse. Both sides do show easy to see brass color when placed in a light. On the obverse, the die engraver name is shown just below the building in fairly large letters as "HORTER".
