GZ121), from the 1992 Spring/Summer collection, was designed by Alessandro Mendini, a master of Italian design with his slightly scary, bulging eyes. Together with Ettore Sottsass Jr. and Michele De Lucchi, he worked in the avant-garde design group "Studio Alchimia," and became known as a proponent of "neo-modern design."
