How to use the regulator Connect solar panels to regulator's solar panel terminals. Connect battery to regulator's battery terminal. Any regulator will not work if a battery is not connected to it first. Connect any load to the load terminals. Loads could include lights or an off-grid inverter that output 120Vac household level power. Never connect the off-grid's 120Vac output to household wiring to power the house UNLESS the house is disconnected from the power grid, ask an electrician. Caution: there are faked MPPT controller on the market, eg, those with LCD. When the LCD malfunction, the entire controller is virtually useless.
