Product Description: This offering is for a new-old-stock Sovos front hub with a silver finish that is shopworn (scuffs and scratches). I honestly do not know anything about this brand and have just this one hub. It's an entry-level unit that includes a "99" stamped on one side of a hub flange (which likely implies a 1999 production date). Detailed specifications include the following... Hole count: 36H Locknut dimensions: 100 mm Axle type: hollow type without a quick release skewer (that will have to be sourced elsewhere) Weight: 162 grams (without a quick release skewer) As mentioned above, this is likely an entry-level unit, but it appears to have a one-piece forged aluminum alloy body and I am guessing the internals are a traditional cup-n-cone bearing design. As a result, it should be a fairly strong and durable front hub that can hold up under most conditions. I should also mention this hub was part of a new-old-stock pre-built mountain bike wheel that I disassembled for parts. The wheels, as built, were not a good match in terms of the components. For this reason, I've elected to sell some of these wheels as parts (and that is what we have here...one of the hubs from a pre-built wheel). As for condition, this is a new and unused front hub, but you will notice it has been previously laced to a rim by inspecting the spoke holes. You can see where the aluminum alloy around the spoke holes has some impressions from the lacing of spokes. This is to be expected given my explanation above (regarding disassembly). I also want to confirm this front hub is shopworn (scuffs and scratches) and does not spin well given the factory original grease that has long since dried out. So it will need to be serviced before it sees any miles on the road. Finally, please recall my notes above, as well as the pictures, that this front hub does not include a quick release skewer. It's a somewhat common part, but I still want folks to know I do not have one available to include with this offering.
