Description: Description Martin / D-18 Standard [S/N 2785520] The standard model “D-18” is as popular as the D-28! 　 The dreadnought acoustic guitar "D-18" was born in 1932. At that time it was a 12th fret joint, but in 1934 it became a 14th fret joint. Also, the fingerboard at that time was ebony, but in 1947 the specification was changed to a rosewood fingerboard. Additionally, there were major changes in specifications in 2012. *Specification changes have been made to the fingerboard width at the nut, ebony fingerboard/bridge, bracing, logo decal, Style 18 rosette, etc. Made in the USA, Nazareth Factory The BODY is made entirely of veneer, with Sitka spruce on the top and mahogany on the sides and back. TOP uses an "aging toner" that reproduces the vintage texture. The D-28 uses rosewood for the sides and back, giving it a tight bass and extended treble, while the D-18 uses mahogany for a delicate and rich midrange sound. The NECK joint uses a traditional dovetail NECK joint, and the bracing uses scalloped X bracing (Forward Shifted). The body has tortoiseshell binding, and the top color gives it an antique feel. The BODY has a glossy gloss finish, and the NECK has a satin finish for excellent playability. The fingerboard width at the nut is slightly widened to reduce the change in fingerboard width from the low position to the high position. The pegs use a vintage style with open gear back and butter bean knobs. The DOT inlay on the fingerboard has been changed from two DOTs on the 7th fret to one, making it a pattern from 1937 to 1943. It can handle a wide range of sounds, from delicate sounds that will please those with a fingerpicking style to loud stroke sounds.
