This is a masterpiece filled with tomboyish melodic power metal tunes with powerful vocals! Burning Witches was formed in 2015 by Romana (guitar), a member of Swiss heavy metal band ATLAS & AXIS. The members are Jay (bass), a friend of Romana, Serena (vocals), a former member of RIZON who was a fan of ATLAS & AXIS, Aria (guitar), an acquaintance of Romana's since she attended music college, and Lara (drums), whom she found online. In 2016, the girls produced a demo with Schmier of Destruction, who Romana had known for a long time, and in 2017, they made their debut with the album [Burning Witches], co-produced by Schmier and VO Pulver (Destruction, Pro Pain, etc.). The music on the album is a power metal with an old school heavy metal taste, with influences from Judas Priest and 80's European orthodox metal bands, but also a modern intensity. After the album's release, the band performed in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and other countries, and signed a contract with the German label Nuclear Blast. This is their second album, Hexenhammer. After Aria left the band, the band welcomed Sonia, who played bass in death metal bands ECOCIDE and SHADE OF HATRED, as guitarist to produce this album.
