Description: The Nesbitt Butter Press was patented March 4, 1879 by Moses Taylor Nesbitt of Colora, Maryland. These presses were manufactured by Vermont Farm Machine Co. of Bellows Falls, Vermont. One photo shows the design of the press and its various parts/attachments. The press being offered here does not have all of those parts/attachments. Refer to our photos to determine what is present. If you don’t see it, we don’t have it! Condition is good only. As shown, the maker’s stamp is only partially readable. The white ash and maple wood construction may have cracks or flaws. One of the legs has some wood decay exposing 3 screws and glue has been used to stabilize it (see photos). Press will be shipped disassembled as it is a large item. Paper docs shown are photocopies and will be included. Various websites will provide detailed information about the Nesbitt Press. If you have questions, please ask. Shipping on this item is steep, so if you are in New England and willing to travel, you can pick it up. Or if you know of a less expensive shipping method, let me know and I will check it out before you bid. _gsrx_vers_1680 (GS 9.8.3 (1680))
